Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke with him about his function in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) team and the ways in which he makes a distinction at Realtor.com. Here's what he stated: Q. Tell us about your group. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the company's success. One of the most important is the Search API, which powers results on the Search engine result page. Our tech stack consists of Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We likewise work closely with the Machine Learning team to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search relevance improvements and AI-powered search. We're a collaborative, friendly team that prioritizes strong onboarding and constant support. New team members are directed through the ramp-up procedure till they're positive taking complete ownership of their work. Each employee is useful to other group members when facing difficulties. We value a culture where wins are well known honestly, and problems are owned together. We likewise make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person get-togethers, to keep sociability strong. Q. What's your biggest achievement so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most pleased with the expert growth I've achieved given that signing up with Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years ago. Throughout this journey, I've established deep domain competence, stayed current with progressing industry practices, and regularly dealt with modern-day innovations. My dedication to continuous knowing and effect caused my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my role as one of the team's technical leads. Most recently, I have actually taken on the duty of being the People Leader for the team-an interesting next step that enables me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical instructions. I take pride in the truth that my long period here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to evolve technically and handle higher leadership Q. What should somebody seeking to join us in #Tech understand? A. Realtor.com provides amazing technical challenges, from large-scale data managing to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML integration.
